Your privacy

Reading Scripture, Memorize, and Bedtime's daily reading need no account at all. AI-powered features require signing in with just an email — no password, and Bible Scholar does not save your conversations for later use unless you explicitly choose to save something. When you use AI-powered features, the information you submit is securely transmitted to third-party servers for processing and generating a response.

Content is only saved when you choose an option such as Save, Save as Image, Save as File, or Send to a Friend. Items you Save are tied to your signed-in account, not stored anywhere else.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bible Scholar free to use?

Everything is free, with no payment ever required. Reading Scripture, Listening, and Memorize need no account at all. Ask works for anyone without signing in. Other AI-powered features — Study, Research, Commentary, Small Group, and custom Bedtime content — need a free account (just an email, no password), and all AI features together share one small daily usage pool, resetting every day, so a few real people can't run up unlimited server costs. Most people never notice it.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is needed to read Scripture, use Memorize, read Bedtime's daily story or study, or use Ask. Signing in with just an email (no password) is required for other AI-powered features — Study, Research, Commentary, Small Group, and custom Bedtime content — since every AI feature together shares one small daily usage pool, which needs an account to track fairly.

What Bible translations are available?

Seven public-domain translations: WEB, KJV, WEBBE, ASV, BBE, Darby, and YLT. Note that YLT only covers the New Testament in this app's data source, even though the historical Young's Literal Translation covers the whole Bible.

Can I listen to Bible chapters read aloud?

Yes, in the Bible tab. This uses your device's own built-in text-to-speech, so it's free and works with whatever voices your browser offers.

How do I memorize Bible verses in this app?

The Memorize tab has flashcards for 200+ well-known verses, shown with key words blanked out for active recall practice. You can choose which translation to practice in, or add your own specific reference.

What is the Bedtime tab?

A short, calming 5-minute Bible story (for kids) or reflective study (for adults) to close out the day. Use "Today's Reading" for a default passage that changes daily, or switch to Custom and enter an age and optional interests for a personalized story or study.

What's the difference between "Relatable" and "Scholarly" answers?

A toggle on the Study and Ask tabs. Relatable avoids Christian insider language for readers who may be new to faith. Scholarly uses more formal, seminary-level theological vocabulary.

Does this app work offline?

Not currently — it needs an internet connection each time you open it to load Scripture and AI features.

Why isn't there a mobile app?

AGRABEN LLC built this project as a Web App, which means you can use it on any device with a browser, and it's coded to look and feel like a mobile app when being used on a mobile device! You can save the Web App to your device's home screen and have the best of both worlds — an experience like an app without using your device's memory or privacy concerns.

Scripture quotations are from public domain Bible versions. AI-generated studies and answers may contain mistakes — always weigh them against Scripture itself.
